On November 27, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 10MW/20MWh energy storage power station EPC project of Zhongtian Steel Group (Nantong) Co., Ltd. was held at the Zhongtian Steel Nantong Park. Leaders including Zang Xuesong, Deputy General Manager and head of the Energy Control Center, Fang Shenzhou, Director of the Energy Control Center, senior and senior partners from Far East Stock, and leaders from Kunlun New Energy attended the ceremony.

The project covers key stages such as design, material procurement, and construction, and is located within the Zhongtian Steel factory area. It adopts an efficient two-charge-two-discharge operation strategy and is directly connected to the 10kV sintering substation. The power station uses Far East Battery's PowerSTROM 5000 20-foot battery cabin as the core component, which integrates large-capacity 314Ah cells with 104S long Pack technology and is installed on one side, offering greater capacity, higher efficiency, and significantly saving space. Each 20-foot container-type battery cabin has a capacity of up to 5.02MWh and is equipped with Far East's smart cloud system, effectively enhancing the reliability of corporate electricity use and power security capabilities.

The project sets a new record for the scale of user-side energy storage projects in the Haimen area. It is another significant achievement for Kunlun New Energy in the field of new energy storage. Once operational, it will help Zhongtian Steel save millions in costs annually.
